buttercups

the grass between the beds on our allotment is covered with buttercups, is there anyway of getting rid of them as they spread really quickly. we strim to keep the weeds down but it doesnt make much difference to the buttercups. thanks

Non chemical ? The runners of buttercup do move fast! If like me you don't like using chemicals, you could dig up the grass turf and lay weed suppressant layer of cardboard then fill with bark / wood chips. stack the turfs exclude light and let them rot down into a nice compost.
