It may also stop the nasties that appear on a weekly and sometimes daily basis. You won't see them much as Tigger, Gerry and I move them as soon as we can, but they're still coming in from "guests"

As Chantal says, the dross that appears comes mainly from anonymous posters, be they members or guests.
If somebody is blocked and they re-register, their IP will remain the same and it is that that can be blocked to stop them.
I know our screen names are not really us but they still are an identity of sorts.
Kg Admin - So far the vote is very much in favour of making guests be read only. Any further thoughts?

Delighted to see you are still around, Sally. I thought you had vanished for good. Hope the personal problems sort themselves soon, if they haven't already.

Isn't "Kitchen Garden Moderator" a bit of a mouthful........
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

According to you I'm an honorary bloke so you can call me what you like Piglet. What's that Mae West quote? "...call me anything you like, just call me" is that it?

Robert, he can't hold his gob shut. He has verbal dirohea (can't spell) The only time he shuts up is when he's being fed. Just keep on feeding him and he should be ok. David said Robert should have been born with a flip back lid instead of a mouth. He could shovel more in if he had a lid
Lots of love
