An interesting legal decision was reached this week in relation to how trapped Grey Squirels should be dealt with.

Do read all of the article and the alternatives, the RSPCA stance seems to be once trapped take to to the Vet to be euthanised at a cost of £70, while the Forestry Commission advocates somehow getting it into a sack and then whacking it with a shovel!
A printed article I read seemed to assume that rather than trapping shooting with an air-rifle or shotgun was a better option as it would always kill outright, while anyone who shoots can tell of wounded animals having to be "finished off", indeed HM the Queen was pictured "dealing with a "winged" pheasant last year.

It comes at some surprise to me that the RSPCA can claim any Royal patronage without being hypocritical.
The RSPCA are bullies extremely good on picking on the isolated individual whilst running away from the true suffering of many farm animals in the many poorly regulated slaughter houses.
