Well the strange thing is that I find that Beetroot grown in modules fair far better than those sown direct. I must confess that they do not like root disturbance and for that reason I always allow them to become slightly module bound and when removed from the module there is enough root to hold the roots firm, thus avoiding any disturbance, and they seem to go away very happily and quite fast.
