Rain glorious rain at last!! Quite a few showers from early evening onwards through the night...a couple of heavy showers too. This morning, it's raining on and off too.
The allotment soil was really dry yesterday so it's a relief to have some "proper" rain at last after just spits and spots which did no good at all.
Cheers!

Thunder storm and heavy rain here about 4am for an hour or so. Dry again now, but looks like we may get some more later
Cheers PJ.

In spite of forecasts for heavy rain and thunderstorms, we had just a spattering, just short of 3mm, but at least the atmosphere is damp and more (light) rain is forecast for Tuesday.
And everything looks and smells fresh!

We missed all the promised heavy showers, even though they got within two miles of us.
A rather pleasing Avatar, Alan.

I liked the Fire Brigade man who told Radio 5 he didn't know what all the fuss was about "You've never heard of a cat's skeleton being found up a tree have you?".

Great excitment in Milton Bryan this afternoon, a Red Kite flying very low over a field they had just cut for hay. A glorious sight indeed.

Alan clicks into pedantic mode.
I wonder why people say that. In fact sunset here is 21.47 from Sunday 20th until Tuesday 29th. It's actually the mornings that are drawing in, but who ever says that?

Dear Alan, pedantic just isn't you.
I always notice the mornings drawing in, i just didn't want to mention it, i don't want people thinking i'm a little strange.

Or is it that most people are asleep when the mornings start to draw in and do not realise it until later in the year?
