oooh how bad is that,i had an accident on my plot and set my conifer tree abaze,i have never seen something burn sooo fast.

My wheelie bin is next to my oil tank and I put ashes in it. I use two buckets for the ashes from the solid fuel Aga, when the second one is full I empty the first one on the assumption it is cold. Perhaps I should move the bin.

Our barbeque is built in at the very end of the garden and we often use wood so there's rarely anything to dispose of. However, and I cannot for the love of me recall how he did this, Tim did set himself on fire a few years ago.
As he was wearing shorts, he actually managed to set fire to his legs; I couldn't believe my eyes! He ended up with beautifully smooth, hairless legs, albeit slightly red
Although I laugh now, it was pretty scary at the time, until I turned the hose on him

I did the same Grock, I was flame gunning the edge of the path and a bit of dead plant lit and the flame shot up the conifer and about 30 feet into the air. By the time I'd run to the house for water and got back to the tree it was a charred stump. Its amazing how fast flames can travel.
Imagine that happening to your house though. A chap at the other end of our town once put his gas oven on to warm his plate while he went for some fish and chips, but he hadn't lit it and his house blew up along with his dog before he got back.
