We've got a wooden shed we use to store bicycles in. It's currently falling apart.

Can anyone recommend a good source where I can get a replacement (or metal one) :?: I need something at least 1.7m long and ideally around 1.5m wide.

So far, I've found gardenbuildingsdirect.co.uk, which seem reasonable. Some alternatives would be appreciated!

I can't recommend anything but in our neck of the woods, thefts of lawn mowers and bikes from sheds is becoming a rapidly increasing and frequent crime, so maybe a strong metal shed would be a safer option if you can find one with some decent security features build into it.

Hi Colin

I've been asking about Walton's greenhouses in another section and I think you should take a look.

Recall many years ago being told by an old fashioned beat copper, to spray my mower a shocking colour, the mower would unlikely be stolen as it would stand out like a sore thumb at the boot sales. Unfortunately the MEMSAB would not allow it.

I gather ebay is a good source for these, Colin.

THere's a similar logic with bikes:
Let them get covered in crud and generally look like a pile of junk :)

Meanwhile, some of the biking nuts at work seem prepared to pay the price of a car for a mountain bike with the latest spec. Madness!
