I'm trying some of my potatoes in dustbins this year. I have 2 dustbins & 2 old compost bags. I have used compost bags for the last couple of years & its been ok, although one of last years flopped over. Its alot cheaper than the veg grow bags you can buy.
Has anyone else grown them in dustbins before?

I have grown my salad pots. e.g. Charlotte, Nicola, Jerseys in plastic bins for the past 4 yRs. with no probs,

need good compost, plenty of feed ...growmore Blood fish etc. and dont forget to put holes in for drainage or they will rot.

Water well..keep topping up with compost and enjoy

Thank you John.
I've been using growbags as compost & adding pelleted chicken poo.
Looking forward to some yummie pots later.
