Was in a well known store [starts with A***] with the Memsahib, on the meat counter noticed Beef & Pork mixed mince, can't say I have noticed this before.

Well, that rules out them being purchased by anybody of the Jewish, Hindu or Muslim religion. Can't say it's a combination of meats that I would readily associate together. Our village butcher makes all kinds of interesting varieties of sausages but never in that particular combination.

Dear Shallot man and Primrose,
tis obvious that you are strangers to the north of England as pork and beef snags are scrummy (and beef ones too)and ye canna get them in the south.
I have to ask for food parcels whenever my sister comes down to visit.
Regards Sally Wright.
