Thank you all for your wonderful wishes. Spent most of the day converting one of the tunnels to a 'Veg tunnel' from a plant production tunnel (all staging) leaving some of the staging to be converted to beds 29" high so that in a way I am preparing for my old age!
The soil has been covered for more than 30 years and is like concrete and the plan is to flood the tunnel gently in small areas and try and dig it over. The way I feel today after rather a pleasant celebration it will be ready for planting around 2012!
I was surprised by my friends yesterday late afternoon and whisked away for a superb meal at The Four Stones Restaurant in Clent village which is at least 50 miles away from home. Later on at home we cracked open a bottle of 'Old Rarity' and when I finally retired I suspect that I was pleasantly hissed (as the saying goes when you cannot recall your consonants) but my head is clear this morning but my body says it needs rest today. Rest it shall have!
Thank you all again for your best wishes.
