Hi Chantal......oh I hope that Fabio comes home soon, the little Tinker. Tibby once "escaped" and stayed out and away from our garden for a whole night. I was frantic, couldn't sleep. When she turned up at lunch time the next day, I was almost sick with relief.
Here's hoping when I log in later, you will have him safely back with you.

An awful night

No news I'm afraid, Fabio is still missing in action.
I walked for miles today calling for him across the nature reserve and the fields, but all I saw was a lone rabbit. Half the neighbourhood is now on Fabio alert and some of them have been out looking for him too. If he's out there, we'll find him.
I'm trying to stay positive and remember my Shadow who vanished for two days and was found a couple of hundred yards from home gazing intently down a mousehole. There was also Jodie, who first spent a night away, then three days, then a week until he finally managed a full four months away before returning home as if nothing had happened (and yes, he was a neutered tom!).
It's very hard right now though, although Tabitha and Diego are doing their best to look after me. It's become very obvious who was the trouble maker though, it is a VERY quiet house without Fabio.

Fabio's come home!
My next door neighbour (about to go to work at 4am) just came to my door to say Fabio was walking down the back garden. As I got to the back door he was pushing through the cat flap.
He's very hungry, but absolutely fine.
No clue as to where he's been, but he's home, he's safe and I can't stop crying - much to his bemusement,

I woke this morning all upset as I'd had a wonderful dream that he'd come home in the night and then realised that it wasn't a dream, he was asleep on my bed. I cried over him yet again (I am so soppy).
Anyway, I'm now surviving on expresso coffee to keep awake (I never usually drink coffee), but have the shakes pretty badly as a result. I've had less sleep in three nights than I usually manage in one, whereas I suppose Fabio will be fast asleep all day!
I've no doubt he'll do this again, but next time I won't panic until at least 36 hours as he has a record now
The really nice thing is that Diego and Tabitha are also back to normal and running around and playing. Yesterday they just wandered around or sat looking up the garden, wondering where their team leader had gone.

Wonderful news. Having lost a cat permanently like this I AM SO RELIEVED FOR YOU. It's sometimes difficult to look a a small animal and wonder why they play such a big part in our lives, but Hell, they do, and when they suddenly disappear and you don't know where they are, the whole world seems to fall apart and nothing else matters until they're safely home. I'm sure you're cracking a large bottle to celebrate. . He is a very naughty boy, and having now experienced the highly emotional Welcome Home and best foodie treats, the little blighter will probably be up for a repeat adventure next week. Boy, do these creatures know how to get us all walking on eggshells with their antics!
