Many happy returns of the day Geoff, and what a lovely day for a birthday it is out there this morning.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Thanks for your good wishes. Yes, OH, it has been a glorious day. Hard frost to start with but unbroken sunshine all day. Dog and I went for a long walk and found Lapwings and Curlews so Spring can't be so far away although temperature is dropping quickly now ready for yet another frosty night.

Happy Birthday Geoff, hope you have a lovely evening.
Sit down before a fact as a little child, be prepared to give up every preconcieved notion, follow humbly wherever and to whatever abyss nature leads, or you shall learn nothing.

Thanks for that, the evening was good too. We had friends round and had a roast of pork given us by the neighbouring farmer as a thank you for Sweet Peas and various surpluses passed the other way during the summer. It was absolutely magnificent and will spoil us for buying pork anywhere else, we'll have to persuade him to raise pigs commercially, we already buy lamb and beef from him. All the vegetables were our own so very few food miles.
