What a beautiful day! The sun is shining in a lovely blue sky and there is very little breeze............but it is not summer yet!

So....why are some people walking around in sleeveless tops? Yes, it is certainly milder than it was but is isn't that warm. Having just been out shopping I was amazed to see folk dressed for high summer and particularly worrying, a woman pushing a wheelchair carrying a very frail looking elderly lady (who looked as if she weighed 5 stone wet through) who had no coat on or covering of any sort.  She looked absolutely nithered, hunched up, hands clasped between her knees and utterly miserable.
On the opposite end of the scale, there were a number of young mothers, with little tots in buggies, also with no coats or coverings, who looked equally miserable. :(

Then, of course, the emergance of the sun brings out the lads in their cars with the blacked out (illegal?) windows, today rolled down, so we can all be deafened by their stereo blasting out. One such car was virtually throbbing with the bass obviously turned to maximum. How on earth do they drive with such volume?? How do they hear emergency vehicles?

Rant over....thank you very much! By gum, I needed that!
Cheers!
Happy with my lot

I was in London on Friday, walking down Long Acre heading towards Covent Garden when I was burnt off by some bloke wearing shorts and flip flops! It wasn't even sunny!

Mad, all mad.

I belong to the mad crowd. I don't feel the cold so I'm often out in the winter in a T-shirt at the weekend and in a suit during the week. I did buy a coat last year for work, but it just hangs in my office - I've only worn it once in 2 winters.

When in the forces I was at Goose Bay for a time. Superb sunny day and clouts were cast Temperature -11C. Total madness but very exhilarating!
