Dear Catherine, far from you being stupid about stress, i think it just shows how caring you are.

Hope all goes well and that your Mother in law is being as brave as you.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

A friend of mine had a quadruple heart bypass 2 years ago and he's been back at his semi-retired job servicing and repairing cars for about a year. He's a big fellow who has always liked his traditional English diet, although he is rather more careful now. You have much reason for optimism, Catherine and I wish you and your MIL all the best.

Just a quick update. My MIL is to have her operation for triple bypass tomorrow morning. We have had a very stressful two and a half weeks. I am absolutely jiggered at the moment. I just hope that everything goes well tomorrow. Here's crossing fingers and toes. We have been told not to ring before 2pm tomorrow so I am off to work in the veggie plot tomorrow, weather permitting, to switch off till the afternoon otherwise I am painting the bedroom.

Please cross your fingers. Many thanks.

Thanks everyone. She is back in intensive care and things have gone to plan! Thats hospital speak I think for informtion and no information and she is comfortable. we have to ring again later to see how she is. We rang at two and were told to ring at three. Now it is just a waiting game I think. Gosh I have got through a lot of jobs today at double quick time.

Dear Catherine, that's certainly good news so far.
The waiting is the worse bit, but you're nearly there now.

Just a quick update. My MIL is still in Blackpool and seems to be making a good recovery. It will take quite a while before she is back to normal again. She was worried when they took the plaster off her chest scar that she would have an awful scar and not be able to wear v necked tops or low neck tops. :) They have set her mind at rest and convinced her that the scar will vanish in time.

She is supposed to be moving to either Burnley or Blackburn hospital so that will be nearer to us for visiting. I will be glad to have her home and settled but that wont be for a couple of weeks yet.

Thank you again for all your good wishes.

Dear Catherine, good news indeed, but do make sure you take care of yourselves as well.

Hope you had a good day at the allotments the other day.

UPDATE: Good news, my mother in law is coming home tomorrow. We have been to her home tonight and cleaned, dusted and polished everything, fresh flowers and clean towels. Everything is ready for her to come home. Thank goodness. I cant tell you how stressful it has been. Last week I had a really bad Fybromyalgia attack. I have never had such a bad attack as last week. Fybro is brought on by stress and I think mine peaked last Monday. I had to see the doc on Tuesday who confirmed it and it took till Friday to feel even slightly better. My blood pressure is also sky high so I am concentrating on being more chilled from now on. I dont like stress. I will have to spend more time in the garden. Thank you all for your good wishes it has been really appreciated.
