Somewhat heavier fall of snow here now......and I have just made a posting on the Land Rover forum....there is no connection between the two. . there may be in fact too much of a connection somewhere. :? ..persistent ongoing battery discharge problem...

Good to read the report that the seeds are stirring Old H'. :) .

I always put the seed to ground..rather than pots..so will have to wait a bit....

I have got some Premiere potatoes planted in 15L pots in the front conservatory..they went in on Tuesday..well chitted. Last year I reckon it could have been 27th Jan that they went in.??...
....bet the info is out on the forum somewhere here.. ...

We've had about 3 inches of snow today, and it is still hanging about.
Did enjoy my day off though! :)
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

No snow here I am pleased to report - I knew that sledge would be a good investment. Mind you, the garden currently looks rather like a swamp :(
Kind regards,

Elle

It had only come a dusting of snow when I took the photo posted above....it later, as I posted, changed to larger flakes and put down about 2" total on top of the first icy dose which soon had the roads around here in trouble...

I went in to work on a Sunday afternoon check up and the roads by then were a constant puddle of thawing snow trapped by the remaining snow each side....once that had frozen overnight it made for a very steady drive in this morning......
There was no thaw of lying snow today until lunchtime...and then we had some hefty looking clouds about that gave the distinct impression that we could get another dose...but it remained dry.

The greenhouse Joiner has started to put some glazing in. :) ..I did ask if he had got the putty warm and workable.....perhaps not the thing to ask.
It didn't help later that I forgot to wind the big clock after lunch......when suddenly half an hour to 4-10pm went in no time he found he was not getting on as fast as he thought

The snow had fetched down a Cedar branch.. so we have minced that up for the shed stove...it's an ill wind etc..

Dear Donedigging, maybe you shouldn't have said that, people might put 2 and 2 together now, with me having the day off.

Something quite exciting Donedigging, whilst sorting through the best china, i came across a cup complete with handle, i thought i had broke all of them off years ago. :)
