It certainly was a wet lot on Friday..an inch of rain has put the local river well up.

Plenty of inside jobs needing our attention.....including the final clear out of the back greenhouse...because at long last its dismantle and renovation is planned to commence on Monday. :)

It sounds as if you have some exciting times ahead Clive. Glad they are still proceeding with the renovations.

Of course, if i get any spare time, i will come and stay with the owners of the big house and then will be able to see if things are running as they should. :)

Been a dark old day today, but at least a touch drier then yesterday.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

For anyone pondering on this ....they'll reckon you are Ruth Watson now.

Renovations are totally relative to local fund raising.. Some of the special event Sundays proceeds have gone to the Greenhouse Fund which is initially planned for renovations and then for ongoing maintenance.

Here's proof of the poorly state of the greenhouse...

....I reckon it looks like a spare Villiers alloy engine for the Atco mower lurking in the wheelbarrow..must get it rescued and check it out

Bore da OH

And now I must leave you for breakfast - freshly laid duck egg and dry-cured local bacon :) :)

Morning all, i've just been outside and it really does feel bitterly cold out there. So wrap up warm, especially Alan, whilst sitting behind his duck waiting for the breakfast egg. :)

I'm tempted to put a jumper on today. :)
