Where are you all? This must be the first time that nobody has posted anything on 'general chat' during the day and particularly early in the morning, Catherine and O>H fashion!
I imagine you are all sitting at home, full of good food, staring at the goggle box and occasionally dropping off because, surely, you are not out digging the allotment?!
In great anticipation of a response, enjoy the last two days of 2009!!!
First 'general chat' post today!

Well I cooked the mother in law for the required length of time,(OH)
obviously it did not work as she is still standing so I had to drag her round the shops this morning. My OH had to work this morning so I had to drag him round the shops this afternoon, Skipton in late afternoon is a difficult place to go.
Everyone we bumped into seemed to have a heavy cold or flu. We went into the Alice Collins shop (everything was half price) and the lady serving in there had a temperature and was not well, and made sure that everyone knew and was in a really bad mood, I bought two pairs of socks and a pair of fingerless gloves. The fingerless gloves had a price of £4.00 but some pairs had £5.00 she tried to charge me £2.50 instead of £2.00 I questioned her about the price and she got really agressive and kept saying they were priced wrongly. Eventually she agreed to the lower price and almost threw the goods and receipt at me.
Then we went into a coffee shop for coffee and a cake. Everyone who came in after us got served but we kept waiting. Then ours came and there was no ice cream with my cake, so we had to wait for the ice cream, and the coffee caffetiere for two only held one and a half very small cups of coffee and cost £1.99 each. (more like a expresso size cup) I asked if they had forgotton one of our caffetieres. (sp) she said no and was quite stoppy about me asking. So no tip there.
But the best thing that happened to day was I walked into Rackhams and walked round the Lancome counter and found a box of Lancome
Miracle body and shower gel.
Not £30 odd £ which we priced before Christmas but £12.99 in the sale Oh Yes.................Am I happy or what. My OH bought it for me off the internet as they have stopped making it.
So I have enough if I am careful for at least two years.
That made up for all the rudeness and colds and flu we met today.
Hope everyone else has a brilliant New Year, we are going out to friends for the first time in about ..........10 years. Usually we are in bed early as there is nothing on the tv. But nothing to wear as usual. I think I might have to go in our loft and find something.

Hi ladies
Well, I'm here every morning bright and early. I have been quiet 'cause there has been nothing to reply to. I don't want to annoy the snowbound by saying, yet again, that there is no snow here (just rain) and it doesn't look as though any is due in the near future
I'm also hoping to see OH pop up again. Hope all is well with him.

Morning all, it is now unsafe to enter the water again.
I was just trying a bit of self denial,
and i won't be trying it again.
Quite boring i have to say, so back to the fun.

Morning Old thing
What a relief to have you back
I was beginning to think that cook had done for you with the charred turkey
As you see, the ladies have been missing you
