It's starting to warm up here now - up (or should it be down?) to -4.

What a difference a year makes.
Until this year there was no insulation to speak of and no central heating in our house, and you had to put a coat on just to go to the loo at this time of year - honest, I'm not exaggerating!
Now I don't even bother with a dressing gown when I get out of bed

We've just cancelled our weekend plans because of the forcast for possible heavy snow tonight. We were supposed to be going off in the motorhome to visit a friend, but couldn't risk getting stranded there! But our house is warm, and it's a beautiful day, so who cares! :D :D :D

Happy Birthday Clive. I must remember to check the anniversaries when I log on - somebody else always spots them first. Hope you have a pleasant week-end.

Happy Birthday from me too Clive.

As for snow only a few flakes yesterday for us but it is really cold -2 at the moment and I keep having to pour hot water on the bird bath. The doves came last time and seemed to be standing in the water warming their feet!!! No doubt we will have ours to come as nearr to Leeds where my sister lives they had about and inch yesterday.

Primrose think of 30 cm as a foot and go from there.

Mornin' all
Lots of animal tracks of all sizes in the garden snow, but the largest puzzles me as it seems to be a one legged beast. Just single holes, about 2in diameter, 2ft apart, with a shallow trough between them. Perhaps a fox on a Pogo stick? :D

Snowing heavily here now, just off to collect our car which we left at friends overnight after dinner at their house last night. Cant leave it till later in case it gets snowed in, after looking at our weather forecast for the rest of the day.

Has it arrived their yet? My parents are in West Yorkshire (near Holmfirth), and said it was snowing hard when I spoke to them at around 2pm!

We have had some big flakes which lays and then it quickly goes again. Holmfirth is much higher than us and often has road blocks when we have no or very little snow. It's the same around Huddersfield etc. We must be in a shelter belt.

At school they used to put our school milk by the radiator to let it thaw and then it tasted foul!
