The scent of Bronnley lemon soap, the one made to look like a lemon. I don't know if it is still made. The smell takes me right back to 5 am on Christmas Day when I was still young enough to have a stocking, we always had the same things, one of which was said soap. Lovely.

And I still remember not being able to sleep on Christmas Eve night and lying so still pretending to sleep when my father came in with the stocking; he mustn't know I know there is no Father Christmas, he would be soooo upset :lol: The following year I was told I was too old for a stocking. Indeed I was.
