OK then boys and girls

As you all know i,ve not been at this long so please bear with me,I have been given so Onion sets did not manage to get them planted so 1st of all can i save them and how ?
And secoundly how do i plant them up and what time of year is best.

As you already have the sets they are probably overwintering types. They should have been in the end of autumn. If you have access to a greenhouse or cold frame I would try planting them in plastic cups and plant them outside in early spring. It is worth a try as they won't keep till next autumn.
