Gosh, that makes my life look rather dull, well maybe not.

What a change to get out and get some digging done. Mind it was too nice and bunked off for a drive this afternoon - nothing like burning a bit of diesel for pleasure while the Global Warming summit is on. Nice circuit through a few Dales - Ingleton, Hawes, Buttertubs, Tan Hill (remember Everest ad?), Appleby, Tebay, Kendal and home. Beautiful day ended with a fine red sunset.

Looks like the Country is going to grind to a halt once more, as there was the sighting of a snow cloud.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Dear Donedigging, it's not as easy to lurk with a lot of snow about!

Just come back from a very special Christmas carol service. The reason it was so special was, there were nine children there and they were all so well behaved, despite it being bitterly cold inside the Church, i even put a thin jacket on and that's saying something.
Anyway they were a real credit to their parents and to themselves.
We sang our village carol too, that was written by a local man that has sadly died now.
All in all, a very nice afternoon..

Hello Old H',
We had a Christmas event at work last Saturday, late afternoon...it too drew in quite a few more younger folk and children than would perhaps visit us normally..
.....Am I pleased that it was not last night.!!....it did come a sharp shower just as folk were arriving but at least it was a clear sharp shower and not a white one.!!..even though the advertising poster showed some seasonal white stuff.....
It was to view the House in full decoration, spotlighted Hall front, Christmas music on piano in music room, "Real" Santa (check his beard...actually I didn't personally
)...mulled (not)wine & mince pies, carol singing on the front steps.... in support of local, bottom of the garden, Church.
Car parking was regular grass car park plus higher ground in front park....bit wet but ok..phew.!!..pleased it was last week
Clive.

Well let's hope the children have fond memories in later life, of your Christmas event too then Clive.
Forgot to say, two of the children turned up on sledges, now that must be a first for many years.
