Looked from our backdoor eastwards through the bare trees over a frosty field; sky lightening the palest pinkish brown over the mountains of Meirionnydd; one star shining; heron flies over - and winter doesn't seem too grim a prospect................

Beautiful sunny day today (even saw a bumble bee working through the antirrhinum which are still flowering) and we used it to creosote the garden shed, dig over and manure next year's sweet pea bed and have a general tidy up. Quite jiggered tonight but the garden looks great.

Dear Clive, they appear not to have used my wheelbarrow, maybe the greased up and ready to go type wheelbarrow wasn't what they really wanted. :)

Dear Monika, you may both be feeling a little jiggered, but i bet it's a nice feeling to know you have achieved so much.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Oops, sorry Old H'. ...I should have realised that your barrow would be a Tickford turbo model..and thus feature in a more up market edition. ..

Not quite so Northern sunshine today down our way today....but dry and still after a misty start.
Took a day off for a change...a subject I struggle with. :?

Mum and I had a trip just up the road to the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre to visit the museum and to see the Lancaster taxi runs...the first of which immediately followed the 2 minute silence.

It's one of those places that being so local I should attend much more..my last visit was 2003

Meanwhile, I wonder how the leaf raking exercise went at work today? ...perhaps that is next Wednesday.??!!
