Johnboy - know that area of Wales so well. We went to Aberystwyth University 40 years ago when the kite was at avery low ebb and only holding out by Devil's Bridge. We walked there to see it and I will never forget the experience of seeing a kite circling just above our heads at tree height. Magical.
We doubled our swallow pairs to 2 this year and they raised 15 or 16 youngsters between them!

It is a magical little place isn't it. It never fails to fetch up something memorable. Over the years I have seen such things are Garganey which should not be around there at all. A pair of Slavonian Grebe nested there about 10 years ago which is another rarity. But the best of all was a Pied Billed Grebe which had somehow got there from America! Not only a rarity but a UK number one! What a wonderful little place we share Jane.
