As one or two of you know, my beloved Rosie (Avatar) died at the end of June, two weeks short of her 20th birthday. :(

However, I've now adopted two five month old kittens from Cat Protection; my house isn't a home without a cat around the place. They've been here a fortnight and are demolishing the place as fast as they can

Thanks OH, there is something really spooky about them though. When we collected them we were told they came in to CP with the names Charlie and Rosie.

Charlie is my nickname and as for Rosie... Looks like it was meant to be.

Dear Chantal, knowing what a good girl you are, i'm sure the name will be taken from a lovely Italian childs story book.

Hi Chantal. So sorry to hear you lost your lovely Rosie.

I lost my beloved cat, Tibby, 7 weeks ago, three weeks after her 17th birthday, so I know the heartache.

A warm welcome to your new beauties! They look absolutely gorgeous and I wish you all many years of joy together.

Cheers, Elaine.

Elaine, I'm sorry to hear about Tibby, I know what you're going through. :(

Alan, nope, not that Fabio, keep trying

Everyone else, thanks, they are beautiful but driving me crazy. I'm used to a very sedentary old girl padding around, not these two lunatics tripping me up every couple of minutes.

I had to get Fabio down from the roof of next door's extension yesterday and I'm worried sick he'll just hurtle into the road at some point. He doesn't think, he just runs and treats the world as one huge catty playground.

Hi Chantal. Is Fabio the Tabby?
I can imagine the mayhem having kittens around can cause, after being used to an older puss! Fun in duplicate!

Cheers.

Hi Chantal

Great news on your new arrivals. Total little time wasters that
steal your love - terrific. Wonder how long before they find the
garden? That last bit came from looking down and seeing Echo
with yet another freshly planted bulb for me - wonder how many
times you can re-plant :?:

Yes, Fabio is the tabby. He's 50% heavier and bigger than Tabitha who is a tiny timid fluffy girl.

They already have found the garden, but Tabitha is too scared to do much and Fabio thinks stalking chickens is the best game in the world. The chickens just look at him with disdain

They both tried to climb up the kitchen chimney this morning after a chaotic night which involved clambering onto the kitchen worktops and clearing them onto the floor.
