Has anyone had experience of using calomal dust to protect plants from clubroot ?
If so could you let me know how it should be used and were to get it.

I think Geoff is right. Calomel is a mercury compound and it was withdrawn from insecticide use some time ago now.

I use builders lime on my allotment for club root. I give a good dusting along the rows before planting and then dust inside each planting hole. It does not scorch the plants and I think it helps to deter root fly. If I don't follow this procedure my brassicas only last weeks.
