Welcome Heating Man. Am sure you'll get lots of good advice here and be able to compate notes. We'llall look forward to hearing how you get on with your allotment. Did you have to dig it from scratch or were you lucky enough to get a previously cultivated one?
Welcome Heating man I haven't been here that long myself but the folks here have been sooo helpful, better than trawling through books or the net if you've got a query.Look forward to hearing about your progress on the lottie ,we've had one about seven years and it's wonderful
Welcome from me too! I must say I spend ages trying to work out why people have picked the usernames that they have. I wish I had been more imaginative but it's too late now!
You'll like this forum - you get advice based on experience, not some pseudo gardener trying to sell a few books or conflicting info on the www. The other thing is you can ask as daft a question you like - no one will ever see you blushing when the answer is so obvious (Speaking from experience obviously)
As you have already read in all these friendly greetings, I'm really sure you will find this forum very useful with so many knowledgeable gardeners willing to share their green fingered wisdom. Often there are also quite a few chuckles and smiles whenever there is an opportunity to brighten our day. So happy new allotment and forward ho with gardening, growing and reaping the wonderful rewards of fresh produce.
