Dear Elaine, i not sure about putting my feet up, but it has made me feel quite worn out, just reading what you and Ken managed to achieve yesterday.
I feel quite a slacker now.

Dear OH. Got to admit we did work like demons! As we both work full time, weekends are mainly mapped out for the allotment at this time of the year, so it's rush rush rush to get everything done. We got really behind with things at one point, due to Ken being ill with a particularly nasty chest infection,then I came down with it too, but we have finally caught up and got it sorted out . Oh what a lovely feeling!!! On top of what we did yesterday, we also brought home, new potatoes (Rocket), broad beans, peas and three cucumbers plus the aforementioned "tons" of soft fruit. And they call gardening a "leisure activity"!! where is the leisure bit? I'm not complaining really as it's so enjoyable working on the allotment and it's certainly worth it to have such a productive garden and be largely self sufficient with vegetables all year round.
All is well in my world. I'm very fortunate.

Beautiful morning again here. Just picked my first runner beans

Just to update from way back on this thread...the Roses did not require super glue ....and the petals largely held up ok for Rose Day yesterday...viewed by about 500 folk..usefully assisting the fabric fund.
..and the sun shone again today for a private function featuring the same Roses..
Gazebos to come down...then we can go gardening again instead of just talking about it ..and then a little gentle drop of rain would be good The misty mornings of the last few days have been rather good at helping things keep going though...

Dear Donedigging, we did go and have a look at the Apple tree a couple of days later, and there were still about 30 bees about, but not the swarm.

I still think you should take the credit for the donedigging page, they must have got the name from somewhere.

Dear Donedigging, i must admit i did have to stand on tip toe to reach it this time, funny, as it's normally on the second shelf up .
