Morning all

All the goosegogs are picked, top and tailed, and frozen until I get the time to start making the jam, on my 4th lot of delicious strawberries. Had such a fab crop this year and there are still loads on. Plus, these are just the early ones  Redcurrants have not been so good but still a fair crop for me. The apple tree is just fabulous, must be at least 80-100 apples on that little tree. Cabbages are nearly ready, the shallots can be picked this week and dried off. The onions and garlic need a little longer. The caulies have all been eaten by birds so have planted some more, salads are doing fine too.

I potted on loads of chillies and sweet peppers yesterday but they are taking their time this year. Still, i'm in no rush for them. Got to put the tomatoes into their big pots too this week, as they've been taking their time too.

Yup, life is certainly good, and it's only another 36 sleeps before my little trip to see a little band in Dublin Image
Lots of love

Hi All

Yep all is well - the brassicas are ready. Had two
drumheads, loads of brocolli but the real thrill of
the year for me - my first perfect cauliflower! :D

It always thrills me to bits as all the old boys at
lottie bemoan the fact that they don't do well on
our site but (touch wood) every year I manage
some.

Best not get a swollen head though as the wildlife
is pretty active at present.
