Dear Clive, Henlow is only about 15 miles from here, as the Crow flies.
Something strange, a straggler came over us about 30 minutes later, maybe he stopped for sandwiches.
I booked them for today instead of Sunday, as they did a better deal. :)
Thank-you for the information Clive.

And thank-you for your support Westi. :)

There are 9 aircraft for the regular display formation...but then they have a spare or maybe 2 at times. Red10 which I believe also acts as a manager ferry? although for some displays this can be carried out by helicopter etc...or could.?? I am a bit out of touch with the airshow scene these days.

..but I do love being in the right place at the right time and seing whatever happens to fly by. :) .

...and ref the Spitfire....my Mum always gives pilot Mr Day a nice wave as he flies by.. :)

Dear Clive, i can see why you are practicing your waving skills now, after looking at that link.

Dear Donedigging, thankyou for the picture, looks just as if you took it from my house. :)

Got up extra early today, as i have got a very busy day getting peoples gardens ready for the Redcross open gardens tomorrow, (bet nobody can find out anything about that) and it's chcuking it down with rain, never mind i'm sure it will brighten up later.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Now if it was National Garden Scheme open day...there is an option to order "red arrows" on the sundries order form when you send in the info to them....
....you can tick for;.. stickers, bunting, posters, tickets, signs that says plants, teas etc and then one for "red arrows"....

We tick it....but just seem to get yellow bits of card with a red arrow on...most disappointing...

I hope the rain is just giving the gardens a freshen and the sun returns for open day...it has just appeared here from behind the grey as I type..but looks a bit weak.

..and ref the links to the open day...it gets a mention on the on the BBC East list of gardens....but did you get a mention from Julie on the Weather forecast.??
I hadn't actually realised Old H' that you live in the East..??

And forgot to say, not only is the weather annoying, there is a large number of Scouts and Guides over the Army Camp, and there is the lovely smell of cooking sausages drifting my way. :)
