cabbage head

hello,

Has anyone used red or white clover sown between cabbage rows to add nitrogen and to cover bear ground to subpress weeds .

Been thanked: 1 time

The trouble I have getting clover out from where it's not wanted on my plot convinces me that I certainly wouldn't plant it deliberately. :?

its a pretty flower and fixes N so why not allow it to spread as groundcover to suppress other weeds and just remove it where its in the way of planting something? perhaps ill try it on a couple of beds and see what happens

I intend to use clover as ground cover between plants this year and have bought 3 different ones from CHASE Organics to try out and see which is best.

I will leave the clover to grow all year round and close mow it before planting out brassicas and other large plants (courgettes, sweetcorn etc).

I'll report later in the year!
