and why not........The local Home Bargains shop,to paraphrase a lager advert, sell probably the best crisps in the world!Lovingly made in Yorkshire by Seabrook"s and also now sold in Asda and Sainsbury"s.
Probably the best thing to come out of Yorkshire since Freddie Truman and Geoff Boycott

Perhaps it could have run a few more pages..??
..
We have got to page 59 over on another forum that I have been known to frequent http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showth ... 61&page=58
It has taken from 2006 to get there though..

Oops
....I mention yet another rival publishing house.

Ah that's better..I thought I had killed this thread..
I'm pleased I was only a simple gardener today and not sat on top of a greenhouse as 3 decorator folk were today at my works.... but anyway the main conservatory is now in shiny new paint.
Cooler for the weekend sounded appealing for a second...but not so appealing when it arrives I suspect.

Hot here in Somerset, got sore gums due to having two teeth ground down ready for crowns to be fitted, too many toffees I think!! But I am 50 now so some bits of me need repairing...........what with my pacemaker and the metal crowns I will be worth scrap value when I pop my clogs.
Still the weather is good here, all is growing away on the plot and I am picking salad onions, Salad, new potatoes and baby carrots.
Life aint bad, sore gums and all!!

If I am not on the plot, I am not happy.........
Dear Compo
You have my sympathy, though I have the opposite problem. Although I'm not far behind you in the age stakes, I'm still teething! Apart from sore gums, I've kept biting my tongue and my lips (no sarky comments about that one, please!) all week
They say wisdom comes with age. Well, with all four wisdom teeth determined to grow, I should end up really wise

It's been a sad time for wildlife around us: when I shut our back door last night, I inadvertently squashed a big frog with the door (had to get my beloved to clean it up, not nice). And tonight we found a dead young wren on the allotment. It was quite uninjured so probably hadn't been caught by a cat. We gave it a decent burial - the squashed frog went into the bin, I am afraid.

Been pottering over the allotment this morning, and i don't think it was far off a touch of frost.
Dear Clive, bet the main greenhouse/conservatory has really given the garden a lift. It's amazing what a few coats of paint can transform.

Good morning OH,
Rain would be very welcome here as well. Although it's a bit overcast at the moment, I can't see us getting much, if any rain

Certainly could do with a little rain...
.....there was a bit of drizzle yesterday evening whilst I was up N. Lincs mowing the railway car park grass...the grass was a bit sparse 'cept for the patches of Clover..
Funny old day yesterday....the temperature seemed to fluctuate quite markedly through the day..it was plenty cool at lunchtime...
..But there was enough blue sky available for Spitfire MJ627 to fly by our dining room window as I was tucking into my tea..
