I'm starting a new thread to get away from toilet adverts!

I'm in love with Aleksandr the Meerkat from the TV insurance adverts; I am a devoted fan, so if anyone hasn't yet visited http://www.comparethemeerkat.com, take a look and laugh, it's brilliant. Make sure you have the sound on, it only really works with sound.

For some reason his "movies" are not linking at the moment, but I'm sure they will soon be fixed; his bloopers are excellent.

On adverts in general. Getting rather bored with the continuous half price sale on a certain sofa and settee advert, I wonder if anyone has ever been daft enough paid the full price.

I once heard an interview with an MD of one of these establishments who was quite upset at the insinuation that they had lots of sales a year. He insisted that they only had 2 sales a year. He said they were January and Easter.

I think he meant January to June and July to December!!

I mentally switch off whenever TV adverts come on as most of them are so purile that they would insult the intelligence of a five year old. However, the meerkat one is brilliant. I bet it has stuck in many peoples' minds.
Perhaps we should all share our most hated TV advert. I hate pretty much all of them but that darned stupid "Oh Yes !!" bull dog on the Churchill car insurance websit gets my goat. It has put me off checking their insurance quotations on principle.
And I do rather like the Felix cat on the cat food adverts.

I dislike most of the adverts really, but the one which really irritates me is the double glazing one, where that revolting man continually shouts about "buy one get one free......ring ******** NOW" Aaargh! then there is the Mr Muscle ads with the very badly dubbed English dialogue....and the Cillit Bang bloke.... and......

Oh Jaysus..........don't start me on tv and adverts......cos that then leads on to other things and it just winds me up

Big Andrew says that, when I watch the tv, i'm getting more and more like Father Jack from Father Ted. I shout at the tv, demand to know "what's that gobs**** doing back on the telly" or "Jaysus, I thought they were dead......they bloody should be, this is diabolical"

You can see how it goes. The adverts wind me up, the programmes, the presenters, the dumbing down of the BBC news etc etc etc.......

I now don't bother watching......it's better for me not to
Lots of love
