Dear OH

How about this picture of you tending your windowbox :?:

I remember some years ago someone suggesting that you were a young woman with a windowbox.

Dear OH. Re the marmalade. I have to confess that I bought ten jars of their awful stuff two weeks running!! So, yes, the thought occurred to me that their distributors would be rubbing their hands in glee and send shed loads of the stuff to Hull, thinking their sales had gone through the roof. Cheers.

Why is there never any pictures of fit men gardeners in KG???? :( Someone resembling that hunky bloke in the coke adverts of a couple of years ago, would be very nice... Surely there are some out there somewhere? Anyone in this forum care to apply???? Cheers, Elaine.

Gave myself a day off from weeding and planting today and took off to the Lakes before the great unwashed invasion next weekend.
Went first to Holehird (the Lake District Horticultural Society garden for those who don't know it) but it was in the fog and quite cold. Some nice things out, particularly Hellebores, Trilliums and Daffodils but light was poor so no photos.
Decided to risk going on to our common coffee spot of the view of Brothers Water from Kirkstone Pass and were surprised to find North of the pass it was bright and sunny. After coffee went down along Ullswater and had a walk at Aira force. Thought I would share with you a couple of waterfall pics and some passing wildlife. Later had a picnic with a view of Blencathra with snow on it then home down the old A6 over Shap. Batteries recharged to plant potatoes tomorrow!
