Was at the plot on Sunday, and what a lovely day it was.Down again this afternoon and the retards have been out in force smashing up sheds and greenhouses, but what really makes me wonna screeeeeeeeem is the Bas***ds had to burn down one of the new plot holders shed, the poor things have only just got their plot and they were slogging their guts off on Sunday, really getting stuck in,i wonder now how long they will keep trying.

I really don't know what the way forward is to stop this type of thing.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Hi Grocky,
I am in agreement with your rant. The trouble is that if you catch the little ba----ds and you actually lay your hands on one of them, even to restrain 'it', you are the one that the police would arrest!
We do not have allotments (as such) in this area but the amount of petty break-ins has risen to an unacceptable level. On Sunday night I put the outside lights on to hear a car start up and speed into the distance.
Nothing stolen but I went for my shot gun and loosed off both barrels because there would be a little gang down the plot. The barns are never locked but my four outhouses had been broken into. They had been in the tunnels because the doors were open and blowing in the wind.
Fortunately nothing pinched as far as I can see and the tunnels no longer have plants in them except just one.
Police didn't want to know. Phoned at around 9pm Sunday and nobody has even contacted me too date. Total waste of time!
JB.

Ye gods, what a state of affairs. What a heartbreak for that couple, losing their shed. We have had alot of problems on our site too. A few of us have made really life-like scarecrows. Ours is really life-like and we have actually caught folk speaking to it, as they thought it was my husband. Sergeant Scarecrow is dressed in High vis jacket, overalls and rigger boots, with a hoe in his hands. People do a double take, especially as we move him around frequently. From a distance, it looks like someone is working the plot and other plot holders have remarked on having to make sure it isn't my husband!!
Cheers, Elaine
Happy with my lot

Such a Shame
At least the little scrotes who opened all the sheds here, did nothing but prove that they could break the locks or handles.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Our local Mr. Plods have started an allotment watch scheme, early days yet but will let you know if anything to report.
