We had a lovely retail therapy trip to Chatsworth on Saturday - farm shop, then lunch, then garden centre. The potatoes on Lyndon's plate tasted fantastic and the lady who served us said they were the one's in the shop, so back we went for a second farmshop visit and bought two big bags of them - one for growing and one for eating.
"What sort of potatoes are they?" I asked the girl on the checkout. "Washed, new ones" came the reply. "Yes, I can see that", I said, "but I was hoping you would know the name of them". "Do potatoes have names like us?" she said.
Bless!
Doh!

We're doomed.
Or, considering the present mess the world's in, their future's in our hands

It could be worse, the future could be in my hands then everyone would be doomed.
Apart from my favourites that is.

Reminds me of a novelI once read of a sensitive young man who loves books and art, who meets and falls in love with a librarian. They get married ..... and that's when he discovers that she is utterly bored by books and art.
