Hi Alan,
We had a case, a few years back now, when a person used Stork instead of Stalk which he has never really lived down.
I have just put your poem through my spell checker very successfully.
Very clever! Can't stop chuckling!
JB.

Our local weekly paper this morning has an article on "dog fowling".
Last week it reported how much it cost the local animal sanctuary to have feral cats "muted" :!:

Alan, are there similar possibilities in Welsh? :?:

Perhaps the newspaper editor's first language is welsh?

...to continue the Welsh theme: all road signs in Wales must be bilingual. Recently a sign outside a retail park in Swansea was e-mailed in for translation and, following the reply, was made and erected outside a retail park.

Unfortunately the Welsh means I am not in the office at the moment. Please send anything that needs translating

I hate spell checkers and don't trust them at all. I work in lighting and have had the following gems over the years

High speed toad lighting &
Congealed pelvic lighting (that sounds so revolting)

They should have been

High speed road lighting
Concealed pelmet lighting!

Both times the spelling/grammar approved them as correct and no-one checked...
