Firstly, why on earth do you want to paint it?

Hi Thady

I echo Peter's question and even if you can paint it, remember that once you've done so, you'd have to keep painting on a regular basis or it would look awful.

I have two aluminium greenhouses and they look great as they are.

thanks for replying..I want to paint my glasshouse because i really don't like that raw aluminium look.I have had a green ,glasshouse for years 'til it blew down a few weeks ago ,to replace it [same green ]was an additional 800 euro...so thought i can add the colour myself...a lot cheaper.

So I suppose its just personal preference really, colour gives me joy.

all the best, thady.

Evening thady, i think you will find Aluminium is quite tricky to paint.
I'm sure you will have to use something like an etching primer first, then a top coat.

It would be a good idea to ring a paint specialist, i think.

Sorry i can't help more.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

bear in mind that if you have to repaint in the future all the glass will have to come out again :(
