I watched a program the other day which said that the Brazilian rain forrest's are being burnt at the rate the area of Wales each year, just so they can plant SOYA beans. From this I deduce that the Earth is being destroyed by Vegetarians, a double wammy in effect, because the burning produces Carbon Dioxide and the vegies produce massive amounts of Methane.both greenhouse gasses.Cattle produce a lot of methane too,so I suggest a cure for global warming is to eat a balanced diet of meat and 2veg
etarians a day or just burn Wales and plant beans there.

all that and not even taking the sprout wine effect into consideration! The program I saw reckoned it was either going to get hotter or it could get colder? also it may get wetter (no hose pipe bans yippie) or it may get dryer (boo) or was that wetter in the winter but dryer in the summer, any more loopy juice left?...paul.

Arthur,

please stand for president, when do we get to start burning Wales, although I fear that the vegetarians would be a bit tough, all sandals and beads

P,W Iwas thinking of switching this topic to the cooking tips and seeing if anyone has a marinade for vegies and sandals.I think sprout wine might have another purpose in life.

This comes back to all that counter-intuitive stuff.

Buy organic veg in the supermarket, its good for you.
Fine, but check out how far it's travelled, even if it grew on the farm next to your house in Kings Lynn, it probably went to a distribution center in, Peterborough, then to Harlow, then Tesco in Kings Lynn.

Grow it yourself.

But even then, where do the seeds come from, how far do they travel....

I give up and shut up. :?
