I'm thinking of putting my 4 free range hens in the same 'paddock' as my bee hives. Does anyone know if the hens will eat the bees at the hive or do they ignore each other?

Any advice much appreciated!

doest look like anyone has tried this before, all i can say is ive never noticed any pigeons or pheasants having a go at my fathers hives, so i guess you will have to try it and see what happens. i would be more worried about a chicken sticking its head in the hive entrance and getting stung, perhaps some sort of wire cage affair infront of the hive to keep the chickens away from the main flight path would be a good idea? let us know how you get on.
