Good Morning everyone,having problems getting up again,something I always have in the winter months :( It usually hits me when the clocks change but this year it has happened since Christmas :?

Thanks for your kind words Steve and Caz,it sounds like you are all a great bunch of peple :)

Caz,I live in the new village that is being built in the North part of Northamptonshire.We lived in one village for 21 years and that is where we have our allotments,but moved to be nearer hubby's job and have now been here for seven years and we love it,though if I had my way we would either live down on the Isle of Wight or on Exmoor :)

I was born and brought up Northampton and come from a large family.Have you always lived near Towcester?

OH you missed one letter off of Northamptonshire :lol:

Well I hope you all have a good day.We have heavy rain here and my back garden is like a quagmire :shock:

Dear Smallweed, as regards my spelling i really can blame my keypad, it keeps missing letters out as i'm typing.
And it's not that i type to fast for it to keep up, so there must be a problem somewhere.

I've just gone over what i have just typed and there were 8 letters i had to put in. :evil:

Nice and sunny out there now, but i did get soaked this morning at work. :lol:

Hi OH I hhave the same problem with my keypad,I think it is because we/I keep stabbing at them too hard and they are starting to wear out or else I need a new ribbon in this typewriter :lol: My hubby is always telling me off about stabbing things :twisted: :lol:

Sorry to hear about you getting wet this morning hope you don't catch a cold or even worse flu :roll:

Hello smallweed, it could be me bashing the keys that has caused the problem, i am a little heavy handed.
Actually i'm typing this really gently and it's only missed one letter.

Don't worry about me getting a cold or flu, i'm pretty hardy. :)
But thankyou for your concern.

It turned out lovely this afternoon at work, a complete contrast to this morning.

Hello OH mine are always missing off letters.I think this laptop is on it's way out.I have had it two years now and the experts reckon they usually only last about three so if i can manage to get it to last until the end of this recession then I shall be happy. :lol:

We had snow this morning but it was more like that sleety stuff so it didn't hang around or settle because the ground was too wet.We actually had some sun though this afternoon but it was still quiet cold out. :|

Morning Smallweed, i've caught it now, not wanting to get up in the morning, just look at the time and i've only just got on the forum.
I can only blame the hard day i had at work yesterday. :)

Good morning OH and everyone have slept in again this morning which is quiet rare for a weekend because I am usually up between 5.30-6.00am :roll:

Me and hubby are over your way today helping out to clear a flat for a relation of my FIL who is 94 and has had to go into a nursing home after a fall at home in her flat and then ended up in Hospital.As she has no children and is a widow then the Social Services has been trying to find the people behind contact numbers and because my FIL is 88 and too frail to help move all her stuff from the flat it has fallen to us. :shock:

The flat has got to be cleared as quickly as possible so the Council can relet it and all her stuff has to go to Auction at some point... :roll:

It is frosty again here this morning and would have been ideal for work over at the alloment but packing up crockery is more important.Hope you have a good day in all that you do :)

Dear Smallweed, i just can't imagine what it must be like to be taken from your home and put into a care home, i think this would be my worse nightmare.

You and your Husband should be very proud of yourselves for undertaking the clearing of her flat, as well as being quite upsetting it will also be very hard work.
But hopefully it leave you with a feeling of being able to help someone in need.

It's pretty frosty here as well this morning, i've just been and dug 24 leeks up and had a job getting them out of the ground. :)

Good Morning OH and everyone,hope you are all enjoying your Sunday :)
OH we got on quiet well yesterday, started at 10amand finished at 3pm so by that time we were all shattered.There were six of us altogether me and hubby,his sister and her hubby and their son and a friend whu bought the van.A lot of the clothes had already been taken into storage in the week so there was just the heavy stuff that the men dealt with while us woman packed up a lot of the glass stuff and the crocery etc..

Social Services said that everything has to go even the carpets,curtains blinds etc :) Good job she lived on the groundfloor because it would have been a pain going up and down in the lift for five hours :roll:

Drove through Milton Earnest as well on the way there and it looks like a nice place to live,though didn't see any allotments from the A6 :lol:

Well we are feeling a bit shattered this morning and the weather isn't too good with wind and rain again,so no outdoor gardening for us today :roll:

Dear Smallweed, glad you got on well yesterday. I know when i helped clear out my next door neighbours house out after he had died, i felt totally mentally exhausted. I think it was all the memories of remembering him in the house. I still miss the old boy now, even after six years.
He was 98 when he died, and by the heck did he know a lot of stories.

I have heard say, Milton Ernest is quite a nice village, but nothing compared to Milton Bryan, just a complete different class of people you know. :lol: :wink:

All my days are good Smallweed, it's just some are slightly better than others. :wink:

Time for a little potter in the greenhouse before coffee and watching Countryfile. :)
