I"m trying to access the above site so that I can recycle some bits and bobs too good to throw away and I"m struggling even though I"m registered with my local group and "Yahoo".I"ve given up in frustration!
Anyone else had problems with this site?
Freecycle.org:-is it me?

I did have some initial problems Snooky, but reregistered and everything works perfectly now. Please don't ask what happened, it just started working.

I have tried to register and failed to get the essential Yahoo address. It is reasonable to expect a Yahoo address but I was hoping to use my initials (an unusual set) as I do on my Hotmail account, however it still seems a nuisance to need so many e-mail accounts.
Maybe it's time I tried again.

It can seem fiddly to get started on Yahoo.
However I have found Freecycle pretty useful for passing on stuff - we always seem to get a reply very quickly.
A few week's back, I got a reply between my wife starting to load something into the car to take down the tip and her finding the ignition keys!

Hi Snooky - I would persevere - it is definitely worth it. We lost our local group for about 6 weeks when the moderator just disappeared and none of our emails were sent out. Disaster - right before Christmas too.
I have just had the great pleasure of freecycling a family tent and unwanted camping gear to a lovely and very excited family! I have very enjoyably cleared out loads of stuff - and managed to fill the gaps with other things too!!
Who needs ebay?
