Good morning Clive, just come back from an hour of deep digging over the allotment.
No frost, but a very cold sea breeze blowing across the allotments

I must say you seem to have some very productive horses round your way, not that is a bad thing of course. :)

I hope your Mum and Dad are keeping well, and please send them my warmest regards.

Quick bone china mug of coffee, then back to the digging.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Morning all, I've just been for a swim and it was wonderful; only two of us there so it was like having my own pool. It's so easy to swim when the water is smooth I managed 1.5 miles this morning :D My only gripe is having to scrape ice of my car when I come out of the leisure centre (and I'm damp and have wet hair). She was in the garage overnight but froze up in that oh so cold hour before dawn.

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Rugby so I may just spring clean the kitchen; it's far too cold to get me out on the plot.

Good morning...Thankyou for your get well wishes. Much appreciated, I'm most definitely on the mend now.
My Lemon tree looks perky this morning! We were due 'feels like -5 C' last night, I don't think it happened, no frost here.

Well Old Codger came over the allotments yesterday in a very fetching large Tartan cap, im not sure if it was for Christmas or not, as one doesn't like asking those sort of questions. :)

I'm pretty sure the Tartan pattern is from the McWealthy Clan. :)

I thought for a second you said he was wearing a tartan cape

I took Tim to the golf club just before 8am and it's flippin' cold here in Rugby. Some of the back roads were white with frost which made me glad I'd been too idle to unload the two sacks of chicken feed that are in the back of AJay

I've just been clearing my dahlia bed over the allotment, and it's freezing cold. My fingers got rather cold trying to undo the knots on the string.
I'm just going back to cover with a thick layer of compost for the Winter, so should keep a touch warmer doing this job.

I used to always lift the tubers each year, but i leave them in the ground now, it saves such a lot of time.

I think he might have a mathing cape as well Chantal.

I got what I wanted - the garden fence replaced with non-rotting concrete posts! It should be completely finished tomorrow, such a relief. One of those jobs that gets put off as long as possible. So many thanks to my fine young man, our lovely neighbour (72 years old, and we still have a job keeping up with him) and of course, me!
