I wonder what others' favourite forum threads/post were over the past year?

These are mine:

The most informative (as well as disturbing) thread has to be Contaminated Manure.

The most amusing was the arrival of Old Codger.

Dear Alan, what a good topic, now this has got me thinking.

I totally agree with your pick of the most informative topic, this by far stands out from the rest by the sheer effort that Gallotments and everyone else involed, put into it.

But as for the most amusing, i don't want to be biased, but trying to find one that i haven't poked my nose into is turning out to be the hardest of tasks. :|

But i won't be beat and will make a decision in the near future, i hope this won't breach any legalities of your topic.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

I concur, the information and ongoing campaigning from Gallotments regarding contaminated manure is what makes these forums so worthwhile, I have also enjoyed the light hearted episodes featuring pictures of OH's holidays very amusing.

May I take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and above all a peaceful New Year.

My nomination for the the Forum Topic of the Year Award is the one on Jersey new potatoes from Barney (Cider Boys). A really excellent effort and all those superb photos! Love those old tractors!

Lovely photo, Cider Boys. There is a Fordson (?) rapidly disappearing into a bramble patch on the farm across the way from us. It was used until four years ago when the old farmer died. His son still lives in the house, but lets out the grass keep and everything is gradually deteriorating, sadly :( . Good for wildlife, though :D .
