Evening OH,
You may be right. The piece I dug over hasn"t been manured for a couple of years but fertilised using pelletised chicken manure but this year the plan is to dig in well- rotted two-year old farmyard manure.

Do you know i find mornings such as this quite frustating, i know it's going to be a beautiful day later, but it just won't get light enough quick enough so i can get at it.
Suppose i better have another cup of tea.

Day off work today so my wife and i are making a long weekend of it in Aldershot with my daughter and her partner. The main reason for the visit is that my wife and daughter are shopping for a wedding dress.
Melanie marries Will on October 3rd next year in Alton.
When I asked what was the rush with the dress I was told not to worry and hand over the money at the appropriate time
Plans are well advanced and everything is coming together.Melanie is far more organised than me.with me it is always last minute

Forgot, the other reason why I"m in Aldershot is a to find a decent beer to put in the hotel for the wedding reception/evening do.Only 1cider,4 lagers and 1beer (John Smiths Smooth)on tap;and hotel beer is not always fresh,it can hang around if it doesn"t sell.
So,it is twofold;a decent real ale and fresh.
There is a local brewery in Alton,Triple fff,I"ll be taking a good look(and taste) of their beers

As a retired brewery man and beer taster I can tell you that Triple F is usually great beer. The others to look out for are Dark Star (From Ansty, Sussex) and Ranmore and Shere Drop, from Surrey Hills Brewery. Don't know if you can get them in Alton though. Also try a 'cup' of TEA (Tongham English Ale) from the Hogs Back Brewery.

Evening Old Codger, i haven't seen you for a week, but i see you have nearly completed your digging.
Well done.
Nearly finished the decorating of the Banquetng hall, but got a leak in the roof what has made me as fierce as a maggot.
Lucky i have got a umbrella.

A fine job you're making of it too
But you have overdone the religious theme a bit

Dear Snooky, is there any other way of doing such a job.
Apart from using those rickety old wooden steps of mine of course.
