I don't want to introduce silver leaf, but I do want to get my hands on it...
Too late?

Definitely too late to prune plum tree?? I'm at my dads place for the weekend, and he has a young tree that is a hideous shape with crossing branches everywhere.

I pruned one of mine last week. Leaf fall seems a bit late this year, things are still quite green with all the rain, so I thought I would risk it.
If your dad's tree looks so bad I would give it a trim. Perhaps only do a few of the really bad branches and hope for the best.
