Well the rain has done me some good, I've just painted a bedroom :D and even managed to scoot to the plot to pick dinner when there was a sunny break 8)

All I need now is another rainy weekend and I can do another bedroom

Things are always red hot in Milton Bryan, even on the dullest of days.

Dear Chantal, you are such a good girl with your household duties. :)

Hi OH,

I hope the weather is nice for the fete. It's always a shame when they're ruined by the weather isn't it. Have they got a "Name the Landgirl" stall this year
Cheers PJ.

I'm just off down the greenhouse. I won't be long...........

A weird twist of fate at the Milton Bryan fete this year.
In the Bowling for a Pig competition the pig unexpectedly comes first and wins Old Herbaceous

Hello my wonderfully Troublesome friend

What he has done is classed as a fracture. His hip bone has torn away from the muscles and tendons at the front of the hip.

He's on crutches, and can do no sports for a minimum of 6 weeks. He can't sit up for long at the moment cos it hurts him, and he can't move around much either cos he can't put his foot to the floor, and the gravity on his leg hurts too.

He's on painkillers and rest. The doctors said that, if he does as he's told now, it will heal fine. If not, and he rushes, he will tear the muscles and tendons off again and next time it will take surgery, plus 2 weeks of traction, before he even starts anything else.

He's fed up but the poor soul hasn't moaned once. He's just getting on with it, bless him.
Lots of love

Lizzie

Dear Lizzie, what a horrible thing to have to put up with, especially at the beggining of the summer hols.

He does sound so brave with the pain, i suppose he gets that from his Mum.

All i can do is wish him well and hope he has a speedy recovery.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Yikes, Lizzie, that sounds painful. My smallest brother (6ft and counting) tore his thigh muscle badly in the spring, just having a kick about with the nephew, he went white, then green, well you know the rest...hope little Andrew gets well soon.

I have just finished sewing 2, 7 metre lengths of enviromesh together in my lunch break. That was fun!
