Dear alan, the new potatoe trencher is a great machine i have set my potatoes before OH gets his rotavator running,it is also handy to run round OH's plot to pick up the deer droppings,

its not a bulldozer.... if you mean the orange one in the puddle , its a tracked slew digger. sometimes called a swing shovel or a hymac, sorry to be pedantic but the media referring to any bit of plant as a bulldozer when usually it isnt is one of my pet hates.

I have some sympathy with Richard P's pedantic point, also why do the media and commentators always refer to any tractor-digger as a JCB?

I know this also grates with my brother in law who has worked all his life for a Agco dealership.

Also why do they insist on calling the proposed barrage the Severn Barrage when it is planned to be built across the Bristol Channel miles from the Severn?
