I am really sorry to say that my brother in law in Zambia has passed away this morning. His poor body just could not take any more punishment and there was nothing that anyone could do. My sister and my one of his sons was with him and it was quite peaceful. I am so glad that it has happened as he had no quality of life after he had a stomach bypass two weeks ago. All he wanted to do was to get home to the farm and be with his family. Last Saturday they had a small birthday party for him he was 62 on the 27th May, and he managed to enjoy the day with all his family around him. I know that I will miss him terribly as he was the brother I never had, (I have three sisters) even though he was so far away I still had contact with him and in my head I can hear his voice calling me Catrina (he never called me Catherine) Thank you for listening and supporting me in my previous post.

Dear Catherine, i'm also very sorry to hear of your loss, and send you, and all his family my condolences.

I know exactly what they must be going through, as i lost my young Nephew a little while back and he would have been 28 today.

Hard times, but we must look forward to the future.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

There's no fool like an old fool.

My condolences too, Catherine. From what you say, it was clearly the best that could have happened for your brother-in-law. I think he was able to say farewell to his family in a way that he wanted to. You have good memories of him to cherish.

Best wishes,
mike

Dear Catherine,

I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. My deepest sympathy to you all. It's never easy when they are so far away is it. My son and his family are living in Uganda, and you always worry because they are so far away from you.

Take care.
Cheers PJ.

I'm just off down the greenhouse. I won't be long...........

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts. Things like this make you realise you have to get on and do all the things you really want to do because no one knows how long they have on this earth.
