...at least I think that's how the song goes.

Anyway, whilst we wait for the sun to reappear, I thought I'd make the most of all the moisture we're having.

:?: Have you noticed water behaving strangely on any of your plants? :?:

By the way, I've cut down the size of the pictures becuase they weren't displaying quickly enough for some people.

Thanks to you all for your kind comments. I'm lucky enough to have aclose-up lens for my camera, but I think the real star here is nature itelf!

Anyone got any theories on why this happens? It looks like the cabbage leaves have some sort of coating to help water run off. With the tomatoes, I guess the very fine hairs on the stems are doing something similar.

For some reason, the photos aren't displaying when I look at this today. Since I'm sneakily doing this during lunch at work, I guess my company has introduced some web filtering on our PCs

Well it seems to be back tonight. Catherine, these pictures are actually held on a different website:
http://www.pbase.com/cmalsingh. When we include pix in our messages at the KG website, we just insert a link telling it where to go & look for the orignal picture.

What I think is happening is that when that other website slows down (eg. too many people trying to use it) it takes longer for any other site trying to link into it. The KG site then gets tired of waiting for the picture to come across and just displays a small red "X" - usually the sign of a missing file, but in this case, just one that didn't come up with the goods quickly enough. These were also slightly larger files than I'd usually post here, so I've edited the original to give people the choice of either.

In the meantime, I've also found that my employer has indeed introduced stuff to stop us frittering away time at work......

It goes like-----
You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine

and ends
Oh please don't take my sunshine away!

It is sung at football matches, with sunshine substituted for "CITY,UNITED OR WHATEVER" and very good it sounds.
Buy land, they do not make it anymore!

I always thought it was 'You are my sunshine...' I remember my husband singing it to our son when he was a baby.

Just found these words on Google.

You are my sunshine
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away
The other nite, dear,
As I lay sleeping
I dreamed I held you in my arms.
When I awoke, dear,
I was mistaken
And I hung my head and cried.
You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skys are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.
Please don't take my sunshine away.

Actually, I think what I was talking about was the song "Steal my Sunshine" by "Len"

You may be able to listen to it here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/music/wma-pop- ... ma_001_001

This was released about 30 years after "You are my sunshine"
