...with you all, that my garlic (hardneck, early) that I dug up yesterday is freaking massive! I am so happy, what with all the weeds, and slugs eating everything in sight, and the bloody rabbit that won't just eat the dandelions. It's so nice to actually get something that another creature hasn't had a go at first!!

well, so far, I have given some to my neighbour! I will be roasting some whole as soon as it has dried out, and then just the usual, pasta sauce, pizzas and anything else I can use it for! I love garlic mashed potatoes!
When you make garlic mashed potatoes, retropants, do you just boil/steam the garlic with the potatoes and then mash them together? Or do you mash the potatoes and then add the raw garlic through the garlic press?

I add finely chopped garlic to the potatoes when they are about halfway done, then mash it all together. Make sure to use a fine colander, or you'll lose all the garlic! It isn't quite right if the pieces are too big!
